Connect Assist Ltd provide outsourced contact centres, as well as technology and support that empowers organisations and their customers to communicate more effectively.
Following an MBO in 2017, the company embarked upon a five-year plan to double the business. In three years, they have grown their main markets include the not-for-profit arena incorporating charities, local authorities, and central government.
Connect Assist Ltd remain number one in their core market, with strong margins, high recurring revenues, and high contract renewals. They are entrepreneurial with a prestigious and loyal client base, that have provided year on year growth since inception.
Connect assist worked with Moon Exec Search in 2020 and now due to continued growth, their Technical Implementations team were looking to recruit a CRM Consultant
The Challenge
This was very much a bespoke role, which required multiple elements from a development, architect, and consulting skillset, along with someone who preferably had government security clearance. Technical requirements included in-depth knowledge and configuration experience of CRM systems including, Oracle & Dynamics, working with relational databases, and the ability to write SQL. As the role involved a lot of integration work with a combination of cloud and on-prem services, experience of setting up and managing APIs (REST and SOAP) were also on the list of essentials.
Although a hybrid role the candidate would need to get to the Cardiff office as required, along with traveling to client sites, so there were also geographical aspects to the search.
Our Approach
Gemma Wilks heads up the Moon Executive Search IT & Tech Sector offering and led on this campaign. She focuses on both technical and management roles across the UK, and has completed multiple search and selection campaigns, ranging from IT Support engineers and Project Managers to Cloud Architects, software developers, as well as management and senior leadership roles, across IT, Telecoms and Unified Communications, within technical and digital sectors.
As the skill requirements for this campaign were quite bespoke, Gemma advised the client that there was not a huge talent pool in this space so the campaign would be a combination of targeted search and strategic advertising, which is at the heart of what Moon does as first and foremost we are a search firm.
The role was sourced within 4 weeks and Gemma brought in an operations director who came from another sector, who had a broad range of transferable skills as well as the right technical experiences.
