Higher Education Search Campaign
Moon Executive Search were delighted to conduct a search campaign to source an Independent Governor for Falmouth University.
On conclusion of the successful campaign, we spoke to Daniel Jones, HR Director for Falmouth University, to find out more about his experience partnering with Moon Executive Search.
The requirements
We were looking for an outstanding individual with NED and/or executive-level business development and financial management experience to join our Board of Governors and support the institution in delivery of our 2030 strategy. We were looking to complement the skills mix within our existing Governors and therefore the importance of Board diversity was emphasised in the brief.

Moon Executive Search listened closely to our requirements and delivered several individuals with potential, one of whom was shortlisted for interview. We found communication to be clear and timely throughout the process, with candidates being well briefed and engaged in the application.
The outcome
The Nominations Committee were very impressed with the candidate put forward by Moon Consulting and following a successful interview have recommended to the Board that she be appointed. Further to meeting the requirements set out in the person specification, this appointment will move our Board closer to the widely accepted gender diversity target. Overall this search was well executed, delivered professionally and resulted in an excellent outcome.
