Donating To Save Lives
As members of the Bristol Initiative, Moon Executive Search want to share the following to spread the message from James Durie, Chief Executive of Bristol Chamber & Initiative, Business West;
‘Due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand, the Bristol city region is facing serious challenges in supplying the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) to our front-line health and care workers.
The supply is a local, national and global issue. We are working to help support our city region’s public health and key agency COVID-19 response team, and have been asked by the Director of Public Health to circulate this call to our members (and as far and wide as possible) to help our local NHS and care systems to be able to respond to COVID-19.
Whilst we are seeing some fantastic examples of our major and smaller businesses responding to this urgent crisis, our social care, domiciliary care and community health services are facing particularly high demand for PPE, which is vital to the safe treatment of COVID-19 patients.
They are appealing for donations – large or small – or excess stock of the following PPE components:
disposable rubber gloves
disposable aprons
face masks
protective eye wear – visors or goggles
hand sanitizer (minimum 60% alcohol content).
In addition to PPE, they are also in need of Perspex bulkheads (which would also need to be installed) to protect reception and patient transport staff.
