As a Board member, you will work closely with senior staff at Bristol Culture to help maximise its potential as Bristol’s foremost heritage and cultural institution.  You will also be taken on a personal voyage of discovery into the extraordinary collections and archives. With over 1.75 million objects, across three main collecting areas of art, people, and the world, there is something for everyone. You will also find out how Bristol’s diverse local communities play a major role in Bristol Museums and Bristol Archives.

You will use your strong networking skills to help spread the word among private individuals, trustees of charitable foundations and Bristol’s business community about the wealth of opportunities for them to support Bristol’s culture, heritage, and natural environment. At Board meetings you will make decisions on how unrestricted donations from visitors are allocated across Bristol Museums, giving you greater insight into how museums and archives operate.
