We are pleased to be share a brilliant opportunity for businesses and students from the Faculty of Business & Law. 

Every year, final year undergraduate students from Bristol Business School at UWE are matched with businesses to give the students the experience of practical work whilst providing the businesses with the energy and enquiry of the students. The chance for the students to apply their knowledge, ideas and skills to real and current organisational issues is of great benefit to their careers.

Vanessa Moon, Founding Director of Moon Executive Search and Advisory Board member of the Faculty of Business and Law at the Business School said:

‘This is a such wonderful opportunity for businesses to engage with students and guide them on their employment journey’.

In previous years, many students have  been able to secure year long full time placements and summer internships but this year due to the knock-on effects of the pandemic this number is reduced and the faculty are looking to increase the number of ‘real world’ projects  that students can complete alongside their final year studies to provide them with the opportunity to make an impact  in the changing world of work.

Possible topic areas for projects include:

• Management / HRM

• Operations and Supply Management

• Corporate Strategy

• International Business

After being provided with initial information about the organisation and the project from the employer, students then work individually on the project brief over 10-12 weeks either October to January, or January to May.

The faculty likes to encourage organisations to formalise working with the Business School on this module by becoming a Course Connect partner. This initiative aims to facilitate closer links between industry and academia and is an invitation to join Bristol UWE in a collaborative partnership to co-create new knowledge, gain new insights and share ideas for an inspired future.
