Citizens Advice Bureau: Chair of the Trustee Board
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) are a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee and a member of the national Citizens Advice network of advice agencies.
Last year the CAB Bristol provided advice to over 7000 clients and dealt with around 32000 enquiries.
Since opening on 19th April 1977, the CAB Bristol have been a first port of call for many people in difficulty and their service has become even more important during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Like all organisations, the CAB have had to adapt their service to enable our staff and team of 70 volunteers to help people remotely whilst mostly working from home.
Impartial Advice
The CAB provide a unique service and bring hope to people that are facing tough circumstances. Below is from a quote from their website:

The CAB are going through a period of change, reviewing and updating our strategic plan, introducing new ways of providing advice, developing existing and new partnerships and seeking to influence policy through their campaigns work.
The current Chair is stepping down from the role at the end of this year.
The board are recruiting an experienced Trustee, with leadership and senior management experience, who will act as Chair-Designate to work with the current Chair, Trustee Board and Director to ensure a smooth and efficient transition at this key point in their strategic development.
