South West based, unremunerated, voluntary role, circa 8 meetings a year.

Second Step is a leading mental health charity in the South West providing support, housing and hope to people across the West of England and Somerset. They promote mental health and wellbeing by supporting people and communities to build brighter futures.

We are seeking new Trustees to join the Board to work with other Board members to determine the strategic direction of Second Step, to direct the affairs of the organisation and to share responsibility for Board decisions.

These Trustee Board roles are exciting and influential within Second Step, providing strategic guidance in accordance with their vision, aims and values of:

• Believing in hope and courage.

• Succeeding together.

• Building trust.

• Celebrating diversity.

• Learning and growing.

These are great opportunities for people keen to offer their skills and experience to make a real contribution to a vibrant and growing not for profit organisation.

We would particularly welcome applicants with skills and experience of:

• Experience of the way mental health services are commissioned and/or delivered within the Bath, North East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Somerset area.

• Not for profit, charitable, NHS, statutory or social enterprise sectors.

• Relevant professional experience (e.g., finance, mental health and business) and networks that will add value to the organisation.
