Its influence has also expanded, through shaping national energy policy and enjoying hard earned business success, with strong revenue growth over the last 5 years.

The Challenge

Good Energy was looking to appoint a new Non-Executive Director (NED) to support their current executive team with their growth transformation strategy. The Non-Executive Director would also Chair the risk and audit committee.

We were seeking a NED from a listed and regulated environment who had previously worked in a high growth, fast paced business and was someone who had come from a highly commercial background with experience of commercial contracts, finance and banking and an appreciation of the importance of cultural alignment.

The NED had to offer strategic leadership at Board level with strong and effective stakeholder management and the ability to act as an accountable officer. It was also crucial they could bring a fair, balanced and transparent view, demonstrating a measured and considered approach whilst being resilient and displaying diversity and fairness of thought in all their dealings.
