What does being part of the West of England Initiative mean to Moon Executive Search?

We advocate the business community can help address the skill gaps and nurture the next generation of leaders is important, and this can only be achieved when businesses come together and work as one to help influence local policies.

It is important for businesses to recognise the role they can play in positively influencing change not only in the business community but also in the wider community by working with government, LEP’s and the third sector to address some of the issues around diversity and social mobility.

What is the West of England Initiative?

The Initiative works with the local and national government, the local enterprise partnership and the third sector to positively influence how the business community is shaped, managed and developed. The area covered by the West of England Initiative includes the authorities of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset, and North Somerset.

The Initiative is led by a business leadership team who are motivated by the desire to create an economically and culturally prosperous region, devoid of inequality and poverty.

By working alongside local councils, local enterprise partnership and key stakeholders, the Initiative provides a link between the private, public and third sectors; ensuring that the business community can effectively channel its voice to help shape and influence policies.

Part of Business West, the Initiative represents some 18,000 business within the South West and is the largest independent business organisation in the UK.
